Have you had luck treating depression and/or anxiety with the herb Rhodiola?

Please don’t send me answers with lectures on different treatment routes or give me opinions on ‘natural’ therapy versus medical treatment. I have tried a gamut of medications and therapy, but I have severe anxiety and treatment resistant depression. Rhodiola sounds like it may be promising and I would just like to know what kind of luck anyone has had. If there are any ND’s out there who have patients that had some success with it, that would be great to know, too. Thank you!

I’m on more than just Rhodiola – also on Phosphatidylserine and Taurine – but I have definitely noticed significant effects. I haven’t had much trouble with anxiety, nor panic attacks, since I’ve been on the combo. It helps me to sleep at night, too.

I’m working with my ND physician to target specifically what my brain needs, which I would recommend… But the Rhodiola’s been working great for me.

Hi. I have had situational depressed along with anxiety for about 2 months now. My doctor help me ween off the Citalopram, which I have been off for about 5 days. I have been doing alot of things such as using light therapy, exercising, eating healthily, taking fish oil capsules and taking one tablet of l-tyrosine 500mg and 50mg of 5-htp. I have been taking these for about 2 days.

I have not heared of Rhodiola but I am finding at the moment, that the combination I am doing is, I think slowly working. I felt a glimpse of happiness for an hour earlier.

If you want to talk message me :)

    Good luck with that..

There are others a lot more powerful herbs.

    MOST POWERFUL: Wild Kratom

    Less Powerful: Kava-Kava

    Amazing, but requires smoking: ecsphoria

Requires smoking and it’s kinda tricky to work with: Salvia
